Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today said the government was working to make operations of the Railways fully transparent for which a system is being put in place in the ministry.
"We have already put in place a system for it and over a period of time, we will make sure that operations of the railways are entirely transparent in booking of tickets, cargos, and also in tenders," Prabhu told reporters here tonight.
He was in the city to attend the inaugural ceremony of the campus of Manipal university on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway near here.

"India is on a growth path. Economy will grow by 8-9 per cent very soon that means we need a lot of people at key position to manage the economy for that we need good universities," he said.
The minister insisted that the trend of Indian students going abroad for studies should be reversed because it causes huge financial drain on the Indian economy.
"Students from India in large number go abroad for study. We call it brain drain... But the real drain is of money that is spent there. The money goes abroad only because our students find it easier to study there. They come back or not is not an issue, we must find out the reverse trend of this and we should see how we invite people from abroad to come and learn here," he said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who was also present on the occasion, said that there was a need to link degrees and diplomas with employability.
She said that the scope of jobs in public sector has shrunk and the lion's share in jobs comes from private sector and business.
Higher Education minister of Rajasthan Kalicharan Saraf, MP Ramcharan Bohra, Chairman of the Manipal Education group Ramdas Pai and others were also present on the occasion.
