Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today said South Asian countries must work together to tackle climate change to prevent national disasters.
"National disasters are happening in the region. We must work together for tackling climate change," Prabhu said at the South Asia Economic conclave organised by CII here.
He said an integrated approach is required by the Himalayan countries to face the climate change.

He said potential growth is much higher in this part of the world than other side and the civilisation in South Asia is one of the oldest in the world.
He said both land and water are crucial for agriculture.
Prabhu also suggested for following best agriculture practises to save soil.
"If you want to improve livelihood of people, we need to increase the income level," he said at the conclave.
