Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will travel to Turkey tomorrow as the sherpa of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend G-20 meeting.

Sherpa is a senior official responsible for preparing the agenda for leaders to consider during the G-20 summit. Modi is expected to attend the summit in November.

Prabhu, who has a deep understanding of global issues including energy, climate change and infrastructure, had also gone to attend G-20 meeting at Australia last year as sherpa of the Prime Minister.

The sherpa meeting, a pre-summit preparation, will be held at Turkey on June 16 and 17 this year.

Turkey took over the presidency of the G-20 from Australia on December 1 last year.
