Patel's meeting with Uddhav took place in the midst of the standoff between NCP and Congress.

NCP has decided to pull out of UPA government in protest against the way the party was being treated by Congress even as it said it will remain part of the ruling coalition and continue to support the government.

"We are in UPA and will continue to be a part of it in the future as an ally. Central government gets our support every time and will continue to get it in future," senior NCP leader Praful Patel told reporters here earlier in the day after his arrival from Delhi with NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.

The angioplasty procedure was performed on Uddhav at Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra yesterday to remove three blockages in his arteries.

Patel arrived here this morning with NCP chief Sharad Pawar from Delhi to meet state party leaders.
