Pralhad Joshi to contribute one month's salary for PM Relief Fund to tackle COVID-19

Union minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said he will donate his one month's salary to the Prime Minister Relief Fund, setup to contain COVID-19, in combating the pandemic.

The minister in a series of tweets said he has directed all the public sector undertakings (PSUs) under his ministry to help all the respective state governments in tackling the spread of the virus.

"I have decided to donate my 1 month salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to strengthen the fight against COVID-19. I appeal to people serving in coal and mining sectors to come forward and support our nation in combating this pandemic by donating generously," the Coal and Mines minister said.

 

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal also announced that he will contribute his one month's salary to the PM Relief Fund.

Various other MPs have also announced to contribute their salary for relief work to tackle the virus.
