India's Pranjala Yadlapalli, who recently won the junior Asian Tennis championship, has been selected in an ITF Touring team that will compete in a series of junior tournaments over next three months in Europe.

The team is a part of a Development Programme, which is financed by the ITF and the Grand Slam Development Fund.

Pranjala is coached by Ilyas Ghouse at GVK Tennis Academy in Hyderabad.

"It came as a surprise for me. I got a letter from ITF yesterday. I have travelled to Europe before but this will be a great learning experience for me. I will get to compete in many Grade-I ITF tournaments and also in the Junior Grand Slams like French Open and Wimbledon," an elated Pranjala, who is a class XII student at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, said.

The 12-member team will have its first training camp from May 8-10 in Italy. The team will be coached by Molina Ivan (Colombia), Sweeney Dermot (Zambia), Burzagli Roberta.

India's legendary doubles players, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi were also a part of the same programme early in their careers.
