Veteran racer Pratap Jayaram emerged the fastest in the first round of the 2017 MMSC FMSCI Indian National Drag Racing Championship for four-wheelers at the MMRT track, Sriperumbudur, today.
Jayaram, participating in the top-end unrestricted class in a fully modified Reva car, clocked 13.102 seconds for the quarter-mile drag which also won him the fastest driver award.
Finishing second behind Jayaram was Joel Joseph, also from Bengaluru, with Pune's Raymand Banajee completing the podium.
