Prayer meet in Parliament to mourn gangrape victim's death

A Sarva Dharm Prarthana Sabha was organised by the Lok Sabha Secretariat at Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar attended the prayer meeting to condole the death of the Delhi gangrape victim.

"The prayer meeting was organised to mourn the sad demise of the brave young girl who was victim to a most heinous crime in Delhi," the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a press statement.

Scriptures were read out and prayers were offered by representatives of various religious faiths at the meeting. It was attended by the Lok Sabha Secretariat staff, including the Secretary-General.

 

Earlier, Kumar had issued a condolence message mourning the death of the 23-year-old woman.
