Haryana government on Wednesday directed all telecom service providers (TSPs) operating in the state to adhere to the instructions issued by department of telecommunications (DoT) regarding issuance of pre-paid mobile connections.
The government also emphasised on better co-ordination between security agencies and TSPs for national security, an official release said.
Connections issued on fake and forged documents are big challenge for security agencies, this was informed in a co-ordination meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional Director General of Police, CID, Anil Kumar Rao with the representatives of TSPs operating in Haryana, here.
Rao stressed upon all the participants the need for the service providers to provide full cooperation "keeping in view the common interest, that is, for the security of the nation".
Disaster Management Plans of TSPs in case of natural calamity or emergency were also discussed in the meeting, the release said.
All the TSPs assured that they will render their full co-operation on 24x7 basis to all the law enforcement agencies of Haryana Police, it said.
