Relatives of a patient, who died today in the labour room of Malda medical college and hospital here, cried of negligence and protested against alleged failure of the hospital staff and doctors.
The relatives of Saira Bibi (40), a resident of Kalichak in the district, said she was pregnant and was admitted to the hospital this morning for delivery.
No doctors attended her all through the day and in the evening when she complained of labour pain, she was taken to the labour room but no one paid attention to her condition, alleged Nasima Bibi, Saira's aunt.
