Premier Inn appoints V V Giri as its Regional Director

UK-based budget hotel chain Premier Inn today announced appointment of V V Giri as its Regional Director, Operations (South Asia).

Giri's role would be to manage wide portfolio of verticals related to the operations of the hotel, including sales and marketing, branding and communication, information systems, finance management, human resources, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on it, Premier Inn India Managing Director and Senior Vice President - Operations, Premier Inn South Asia and Asia Pacific Aly Shariff said: "With his extensive experience and invaluable insights in the hospitality industry, both in India and globally, he will indeed be a valuable asset to Premier Inn."
 

Prior to this, Giri was President of Appu Hotels, the company that owns Le Meridien Hotels in Chennai and Coimbatore.

Giri a graduate from The Oberoi School of Hotel Management has worked with big hospitality majors The Oberoi, Mahindra Holidays, The Park and The Ceebros group.

Premier Inn is UK's biggest hotel chain with more than 650 hotels and 52,000 rooms across Ireland, UK, Ireland, South Asia, Arabian Gulf and Asia Pacific.
