Premium special train from Kamakhya to Bangalore flagged off

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today flagged off a new Premium Special Train service between Kamakhya in Assm and Bangalore Cantonment through remote from Bengaluru today.

The train, numbered 22503, left Kamakhya station at 2.30 PM in presence of senior North East Frontier Railway officials who witnessed the flagging off at Bengaluru through video conferencing, NF Railway CPRO S Lahiri said.

The train will have stoppages at New Jalpaiguri, Howrah, Bhubneswar, Vijayawada and Chennai Central.

Premium Special Trains have unique features with its tickets being available only from IRCTC website and all tickets are sold against confirmed reservation. There is no provision of issuing wait-listed tickets in this train.
 

The fares are not fixed but dynamic and also include catering charges, Lahiri said.

Passengers can also book confirmed tickets (if available) through Current Ticket counters at stations even after preparation of the chart.

There will be sleeper classes along with 3-Tier AC and 2-Tier AC accommodations in the train.
