A new and safer prepaid Cab Management System (CMS) was launched at the IGI airport by the Delhi Police today.
Delhi Lt Governor Tejender Khanna inaugurated the CMS at Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International airport, officials said.
The prepaid taxi service was introduced in 1986 at Delhi Airport by Delhi Traffic Police but the new system has more enhanced safety features like bio-metric IDs of drivers, tracking the drivers and passengers till their destinations and generating various reports, Additional CP (Traffic) Anil Shukla said.
Annually, around 30 lakh commuters avail the services of prepaid cabs at IGI airport, officials said.
