Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik asked students to prepare themselves for practical challenges that they will be encountering in their future lives.
Terming hard work as a necessity for overcoming challenges and competition, Naik also elaborated on the ideology of Deendayal Upadhyaya at the convocation of Deendayal Upadhayay University students.
He also expressed regret that none of the universities in the country figure in the top 200 varsities of the world, and said insititutes will have to prepare a plan for this.

Later, as Naik started from the varsity on his way to Gorakhnath Peeth, about 12 Samajwadi Party workers, sporting black bands around their heads, raised slogans against him at university gate.
Inspector, Cantonment, Vijay Raj Singh said they were dispersed from the spot.
