Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today directed officials to prepare and execute a time-bound development plan for conservation, maintenance and management of the heritage buildings in the state.
Raje, while addressing a meeting of officials at her office, asked them to prepare a plan to conserve the buildings in such a manner that these places could become economically self-sustainable from the income received by increased footfall of tourists.
She suggested that districts should compete with each other in arranging tourism-related activities so that the number of foreign and domestic visitors could go up at their respective tourist places.
