The Mentor Group, which has already submitted two reports to the state government, was preparing for submission of its third report by August 31, its Chairman Sugata Bose told reporters.
Chairman of the Higher Education Council Sugata Marjit was also present at the meeting.
The proposed second campus of the premiere institute, on which the Group was getting all cooperation from the state government was discussed, Bose said.
Higher Education Minister Bratya Basu said some amendments to the Presidency University Bill were also discussed.
Governor M K Narayanan had given the final nod to the Presidency University Bill in 2009 and it was passed in the state Assembly on March 19, 2010.
