President extends national day greetings to Saudi Arabia

President Pranab Mukherjee today greeted people of Saudi Arabia on the eve of their national day tomorrow and expressed confidence that cooperation between the two nations will increase.

In his message to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is custodian of the two Holy Mosques, the President said, "India deeply values its close and friendly relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are anchored in shared interests and extensive people-to-people contacts."

He said the multi-faceted strategic ties between the two countries have witnessed steady progress in all spheres of bilateral engagement which has been further reinforced by regular high-level political exchanges and our growing trade linkages.
 

"I remain confident that our cooperation will continue to further strengthen in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of our two peoples," he said in his message.
