President Pranab Mukherjee today greeted the Government and the people of Zimbabwe on the eve of their Independence Day.
"On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings to the Government and the people of the Republic of Zimbabwe on the occasion of your Independence Day," Mukherjee said in a message to the President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.
Zimbabwe's Independence Day falls on April 18.
India and Zimbabwe enjoy warm and cordial relations, he said adding, "I am confident that the mutually beneficial cooperation between our two nations will continue to strengthen and expand in the years to come.
