President, PM, Union Ministers greet ISRO on historical launch

President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of Union Ministers today congratulated ISRO for the successful launch of a record 20 satellites here.

"Heartiest congratulations to ISRO Team on successful launch of PSLV-C34 carrying a record 20 satellites #PresidentMukherjee", the President said in a tweet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "20 satellites in a go! @isro continues to break new barriers. Hearty congratulations to our scientists on the monumental accomplishment".

"Our space programme has time and again shown the transformative potential of science and technology in people's lives", he said.

"Over the years, we developed expertise & capability to help other nations in their space initiatives. This is the skill of our scientists", he said in another tweet.
 

On the two Indian satellites launched by academic institutions, he said, "Saw with immense joy that students from institutions in Pune & Chennai played a role in the making of satellites. This touched me".

"As a common citizen, was totally immersed in happiness to see our youngsters excelling & taking so much interest in science", Modi said.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Rathoresaid, "#ISRO launch of record 20 satellites is yet another indicator of India's growing space prowess. Congratulations to @isro and our scientists".

"20 satellites in single mission. Thumbs up to entire #ISRO team for devising novel engg.Tech to make this possible", he said.

Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Radha Mohan Singh said, "Congratulations Team @isro for launching 20 satellites in one go. 25th consecutive successful mission for #ISRO".

Minister of State Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh said, "Congrats team #ISRO. You have made it. Another milestone, another feather of glory. India is proud of you".

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hailed the successful launch of PSLV-C34 that carried 20 satellites into space.

"It is yet another milestone in ISRO's history. I congratulate all the scientists over this accomplishment," the Chief Minister said in a statement.

He also complimented the scientists at Satish Dhawan Space Centre for proving their might once again by launching 20 satellites in one go.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also lauded ISRO scientists for the feat.

"Placing 20 satellites into orbit in single launch is a big milestone achieved by dedicated and professional team of ISRO scientists and experts," Chouhan, who is currently on a visit to China, tweeted.

He said that the country is immensely proud of the new record of ISRO.

"On the new record of ISRO, every Indian is feeling immensely proud. Our glorious success journey in space is fast touching new heights," Chouhan said in another tweet.

Terming the launch of 20 satellites in one go as "incredible achievement", Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu also congratulated the ISRO scientist for "creating history" with the intiative.

"20 satellites in one go! An Incredible achievement! Congratulations to @isro scientists for creating history," Naidu tweeted.
