President to visit Sikkim, Manipur

President Pranab Mukherjee will embark on a three-day visit to northeastern states of Sikkim and Manipur tomorrow.

During his stay in Manipur, Mukherjee will attend the Diamond Jubilee function of Adimjati Shiksha Ashram at Imphal tomorrow, an official statement said.

He would also inaugurate the Amity Hall and SC, ST girls hostel and lay the foundation stone of working women's hostel and tribal boys' hostel.

In Sikkim, the President would inaugurate Siddeshwar Dham at Solophok in Namchi on Tuesday.

Mukherjee would also lay the foundation stone of Sikkim University at Yangang in South Sikkim.

He will return to the national capital on Wednesday.
