President Ram Nath Kovind today condoled the demise of veteran Congress leader and former Union minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.
"Sad to hear about the demise of former Union Minister and veteran political leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi," Kovind said in a tweet.
"He contributed much to Bengal and to the administration of football in our country. My condolences to his family and associates," the president said.

Dasmunsi, aged 72, was in coma after suffering a stroke in 2008. He was hospitalised since then.
He had been critically ill since the past one month and succumbed to the illness today at a hospital here.
Dasmunsi was heading the All India Football Federation when he took ill in 2008.
