Prez congratulates Indian cricket team for Blind World Cup win

President Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the T-20 Blind World Cup as he called their victory a special source of inspiration for all differently abled people.

Mukherjee wrote a letter to the team Captain Ajay Kumar Reddy and said: "I write to convey my hearty congratulations to you and your team for the spectacular victory in the T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind-2017. I also convey my compliments to your coach, Patrick Rajkumar.

"Your success is a matter of great pride for the nation. This victory is the result of grit and determination displayed by the team."
 

The President said their win "will be a source of inspiration to both sportspersons as well as all differently abled people who aspire for success in sports."

"Please convey my felicitations to all members of your team. I wish your coach, you and every member of your team continued success in the future," he said.
