The information, education and communication programme will aim at creating awareness about nutrition challenges, importance of optimal nutrition and mobilising communities to prevent malnutrition.

A decision was taken in this regard by the Prime Minister-led National Council on India's Nutrition Challenges.

A Rashtrapati Bhawan statement said the campaign event would be launched on November 19.

The campaign, which is scheduled to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Monday, is being coordinated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the statement said.

On the same day, Mukherjee will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).

The Delhi-based IGNCA is a research institution which works to promote works in music, dance, visual arts, sciences, lifestyles, fairs, festivals, literature, linguistics, photography, archaeology and any aspect involving aesthetics.

The Centre was founded on November 19, 1987, in memory of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
