The President, Vice President and the Lok Sabha Speaker have greeted people for the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi tomorrow and sought Lord Ganesha's blessings to overcome obstacles in the path of development in India.
Greeting fellow citizens in the country and abroad, President Pranab Mukherjee said, "May Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune, shower his blessings ... And remove all obstacles in the path of our development so that we can move ahead as a strong and vibrant nation."
Vice President Hamid Ansari hoped that Lord Ganesha would give his blessings to help India emerge as a peaceful, prosperous and enlightened country.
In her message, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan called upon Indians to dedicate themselves to noble human values and celebrate the country's rich cultural heritage.
