Prices of base metals decline on subdued demand

Nickel, zinc, copper and brass sheet cutting prices declined further at the non-ferrous metal market today due to stockist selling amid subdued demand from industrial users.

Nickel fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 770 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 780.

Copper scrap heavy and copper armature declined by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 397 and Rs 391 from Rs 400 and Rs 394, respectively.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass sheet cutting and zinc price moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 407, Rs 361, Rs 435, Rs 386, Rs 320 and Rs 229, respectively.
