Prices of select commodities go up

Prices of moong dal, gram dal, wheat and maida (90 kg) increased while that of urad dal declined in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal opened at Rs 9,800, an increase of Rs 400 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 9,400.

Gram dal went up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,950 from its closing rate of Rs 3,900.

Urad dal declined by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,800 from its closing rate of Rs 8,000.

Wheat increased by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 2,650 from its previous rate of Rs 2,600.

Maida (90kg) opened the week at Rs 2,500, an increase of Rs 100 from Rs 2,400.
 

Thoor dal, sugar and sooji prices ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,900, Urad Dal Rs 7,800 Moong Dal Rs 9,800, Gram Dal Rs 3,950, Sugar Rs 3,150, Wheat Rs 2,600, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,600 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,700.
