Prices of thoor, urad and moong dal increases

Thoor dal, urad dal and moong dal prices increased, while prices of rest ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal rose sharply by Rs 800 per quintal to Rs 11,800 from yesterday's price of Rs 11,000.

Thoor dal was up by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 15,500 from previous Rs 15,200.

Urad dal increased by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 15,000 from its previous rate of Rs 14,800.

Gram dal (Rs 6,600), sugar (Rs 2,900), wheat (Rs 2,900), maida (90 kgs)(Rs 2,500) and Sooji (90 kgs) (Rs 3,200) ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 15,500, Urad Dal Rs 15,000, Moong Dal Rs 11,800, Gram Dal Rs 6,600, Sugar Rs 2,900, Wheat Rs 2,900, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,200.
