Prices of thoor, urad, moong, gram dal shoot up

Prices of thoor dal, urad dal, moong dal and gram dal increased, rest all other commodities remained unchanged in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Urad dal went up by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 14,800 from its closing rate of Rs 14,500.

Thoor dal increased by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 15,200 from its previous Rs 15,000.

Moong dal rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 11,000 from Rs 10,800.

Gram dal moved up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 6,600 from Rs 6,400.

Sugar, wheat, maida and sooji are maintained at the same level.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 15,200, Urad Dal Rs 14,800, Moong Dal Rs 11,000, Gram Dal Rs 6,600, Sugar Rs 2,900, Wheat Rs 2,900, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,200.
