A priest of a temple in Gunnaur area here was allegedly killed after he protested against theft attempt by some unidentified persons, police said.
"Some thieves tried to steal asset of the temple and when the priest protested they (miscreants) killed him," said Sumit Shukla, Circle Officer of Musafirkhana area.
On the complaint of a devotee, an FIR was lodged against unknown murderers.
