: Primary girl students, along with their parents, staged a demonstration inside a government school here today, demanding proper classrooms.
The girls, studying from first to fifth standard, also boycotted classes, police said.
The parents demanded that the Collector and Education Department take steps to provide proper classrooms to their wards, as they were now accommodated in congested classes.

Two classrooms were constructed at cost of Rs 1.48 lakh but were lying idle and were partially used by teacher trainees, they said.
The parents said they had already submitted a petition to the Collector a few days back with their request.
