The step is aimed at bringing transparency and accountability in the system.

Satish Upadhaya, Chairman of Education Committee of SDMC told reporters that the civic body will provide recognition to private primary schools through an online process.

Schools will now have to complete all the formalities and fill the information in an online application form to get the necessary recognition from SDMC.

"In the online process, there are 35 check points or requirements which schools have to fulfill. The data provided by them will be reviewed and recognition will be given.

"This process will bring transparency, responsibility and accountability in the system of providing recognition. This process has been implemented to stress on time-bound recognition," Upadhaya said.
