Prime Minister arrives in Hyderabad to attend COP 11

Singh was received by Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, state Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his cabinet colleagues among others, at the Begumpet Airport this afternoon.

Chief Secretary Minnie Mathews, AP Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana, DGP V Dinesh Reddy, Hyderabad Mayor Majid Hussain were among those who welcomed him.

According to an official schedule, the Prime Minister will fly to Hyderabad International Convention Centre--the venue of the biodiversity conference, in a helicopter.

After attending the biodiversity conference, he will proceed to Gachibowli by road to unveil a COP-11 commemorative pylon and lay the foundation stone of a biodiversity park and museum.

 

Singh will then board a helicopter from the temporary helipad at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate towards Begumpet Airport, before leaving for Delhi in the evening.
