Prime Minister on two-day visit to Assam from Nov 29

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Assam on a two-day visit from November 29, an official release said here today.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport here and head towards Maligaon Stadium to flag-off the first train from Mendipathar (Meghalaya) to Guwahati by remote control and also unveil the plaque for a new rail line from Bhairabi to Salrang (Mizoram).

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the 75th anniversary celebrations of The Assam Tribune Group of newspapers here in the evening.

He is scheduled to stay the night at Raj Bhavan.

On November 30, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Conference of Director Generals of Police here on November 30 and later address party workers before leaving for Imphal, the release added.
