Skilling and training company Primero Skills today said it is in discussions with the Mizoram's Chakma Hill Council for a training centre.

"We are in discussion with the Mizoram's Chakma Hill Council for joint development of a standalone training center in the difficult terrain (there)," Primero managing director Jayanta Das said.

The estimated cost of the skilling center will be Rs 7.5 crore only for infrastructure, he said.

"It is a remote location without any skilling centers. We have submitted a proposal where we had asked the council to offer land and Rs 1.5 crore. Rest will come as debt," Das said.

According to the proposal a SPV will be formed between Primero and Chakma Hill Council, which will manage the venture.

About Primero, Das said it has 27 training centers across the country and was engaged in Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

The company has two centers for PMKVY in Mizoram for tourism and bamboo planting skills.
