The 41-year-old 'Take That' singer met Charles to discuss the plans for the official Diamond Jubilee song "Sing" to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 60 years on the throne, reported Contactmusic.
"He's such good company, Prince Charles. He has a fantastic sense of humour. He's a cool guy," Barlow said.
The singer worked on the song with Andrew Lloyd Webber and he said that he is very proud of the track, which he wrote in Kenya's Aberdare National Park, where the queen first learned of her father's death and became the monarch.
"It was just so fitting and quite beautiful, I felt, to write the words to the song at the spot where the queen's personal journey began," the singer added.
