The 27-year-old prince, believed to be a huge fan of the social networking site, had been using the pseudonym 'Spike Wells'.
But he has now deactivated his account after advice from his private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, The Sun tabloid reported today.
The prince, who is third in line to the British throne, had almost 400 'friends' on Facebook and kept his page protected by maximum security settings.
US gossip website TMZ had published a grainy image of the prince, cavorting naked with a female friend in a Las Vegas hotel suite, sparking controversy in Britain.
The Buckingham Palace is concerned that further images could emerge from a week on Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island where Harry and friends stayed shortly before Vegas.
They were originally posted on the Facebook page of one of Harry's friends, to which several hundred people had access.
Harry's two best friends, Tom 'Skippy' Inskip, 25, who joined him in Vegas, and Arthur Landon, 30, have also deleted their Facebook accounts, the report said.
