Principal, 2 other top officials suspended for mass copying

A principal and two other top officials of Dausa Government College were suspended for alleged mass copying during an examination in April, an official release said today.

In a probe by Rajasthan University initiated on the instruction of Governor Kalyan Singh, Principal Arvind Kumar, Vice-Principal PC Jain and lecturer Omendra Singh of Dausa Government College were charged with negligence that facilitated mass copying and were suspended this week, it stated.

The Governor had apprised state Higher Education Minister Kalicharan Saraf about the probe report following which the decision to suspend them was taken, the release said.

Singh said that no irregularity or misconduct in examination would be tolerated in higher education, a Raj Bhawan statement said here.
 

The Governor has directed the vice-chancellors of all state-run universities to check such irregularity of mass copying during examination.

Education was always linked with the future of state, country and society, the Governor said.
