Principal of training institute held while taking bribe

Principal of a private teacher's training institute at Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur district was arrested by vigilance sleuths for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 from his peon.

Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Pargat Singh, Principal of the private teacher's training institute at Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur district was nabbed on the complaint of Piara Ram who was working at the same institute as a peon.

In his complaint with the Vigilance Bureau, Piara Ram made serious accusations on Principal Pargat Singh for demanding a bribe of Rs 5,000 for forwarding his case of withdrawal of Rs 2 lakh from his GPF account for the purpose of his daughter's marriage.
 

He alleged that the Principal demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 for forwarding his case to the respective branch with his nod.

Acting on a tip off provided by the complainant, a team of Vigilance Bureau laid a trap and the accused was nabbed red handed while accepting the bribe.
