Principal removed for below average academic performance in JK

Jammu and Kashmir Education minister Naeem Akhtar has removed a principalfrom his post for a below average academic performance of his school in J&K's Rajouri district.

During a surprise visit at Boys Higher Secondary School in Nowshera areas yesterday, Akhtar asked for the removal of the principal following a below average academic performance of the school.

He directed that the charge of the school will remain with Deputy Chief Education Officer of Rajouri.

Surprise checks were conducted at government schools in Nowshera constituency here and stock of the infrastructure and other facilities were taken, the minister said.

The minister interacted with the teachers and the students to inquire about how to improve the educational standards in these institutions.
