A school principal and his wife were killed on the spot as the Alto car in which they were travelling, fell into a deep gorge in Sirmaur district, 85 kms from Shimla today.
Government Senior Secondary School principal Paras Ram Chauhan (57) and his teacher wife Sangeeta (50), were killed while his sister and sister-in-law Revti Thakur and Vanita Thakur, who were also travelling with them were critically injured in the mishap near village Dharoli on Rajgarh road.
They were rushed to hospital at Rajgarh.

Chauhan, alongwith other family member had gone to attend the funeral of a close relative and was following the funeral van in his car.
He reportedly lost control while negotiating a sharp curve near village Dharoli and the vehicle fell into a deep gorge and the car caught fire after the accident, police said.
The police and local residents joined the rescue work and rushed all the occupants of the car to Rajgarh sub divisional hospital where Chauhan and his wife were declared dead.
DSP said that a case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on.
