Maharashtra Irrigation Minister Girish Mahajan today said the state government will accord priority to those irrigation projects which are nearing completion.
"Those irrigation projects (in the state) where 70 per cent or more work is completed will be funded on a priority basis. Efforts will be taken to finish the projects in a quick time," Mahajan told reporters here.
The Minister, undertook a review of pending irrigation projects in Vidarbha and visited some of them in the region along with Maharashtra Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Mahajan further said the government was keen on providing water for irrigation to the farmers which was the need of the hour and help them overcome the crisis.
To a query, he said, the state government will make all efforts to complete 26 pending irrigation projects.
