Union Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda today said priority would be given to complete the ongoing projects in Karnataka and implement those announced in the Railway budget for the state.
Speaking to reporters here, he said Karnataka had many demands with regards to Railway projects and it would be difficult to fulfil all of them.
He said Rs 1,400 crore had been earmarked in the Railway budget for the ongoing projects in the state.

The process had been initiated for recruitment of woman police to be deployed in train compartments for the safety of women passengers, he said.
Gowda said the NDA government did not believe in politics in development and that was why it was implementing some of the schemes of the previous UPA rule.
