An undertrial prisoner in Jaipur jail allegedly attempted suicide near bathroom in the prison compound, police said today.
Khushi Ram Meena made a noose of a piece of cloth and tried to hang himself yesterday. However, he was caught by the jail staff, they said.
"A suicide note was also recovered from his possession in which he stated that he was depressed and wanted to end life," SHO Lalkothi Raghuveer said.
