India's Prithviraj Tondaiman remained in contention to make it to the men's Trap finals at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun after his total of 69 put him four points behind the leader on Friday.
In tough scoring conditions, Prithviraj shot a round of 22 out of 25 to be placed at the 23rd place after the end of day two of the competition currently underway in Lahiti, Finland. The Indian shared his score with 10 other contestants.
Teammate Kynan Chenai was further back in 42ndspot with a score of 67 after a similar round of 22 on Friday.
Turkey's Yavuz Ilnam led the 157-strong team with 73 with overnight leader William Chetcuti of Malta sole second with a 72.
Two shooters piled up scores of 71 to bring up third and fourth spots and then there were nine others on 70 just ahead of Prithviraj's group.
In the Women's Trap competition, Shagun Chowdhary was the best-placed Indian with a score of 100, which helped her garner 38th spot.
Teammates Manisha Keer (94) and Seema Tomar (93) finished in 52nd and 59th positions respectively. The top qualifying score in the competition was a dour 112.
