Amid demands for a larger role for Priyanka Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh, Congress today said she along with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi would decide what role she would play in the key state where Assembly polls are due early next year.
"A decision on the role of Priyanka Gandhi and what she would do in Uttar Pradesh would be taken by her along with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi," party spokesperson Shobha Oza told reporters.
Oza was asked whether Priyanka would canvass support for the party outside Rae Bareli and Amethi, the Lok Sabha constituencies represented by the Congress President and Vice President, and what would be her role in Uttar Pradesh.

Congress has signalled it could declare a chief ministerial candidate ahead of the Assembly polls.
In the last Assembly polls, Congress had won just 28 of the 403 seats in the state.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the party secured only two seats with Sonia and Rahul emerging victorious.
The Congress is in political wilderness in Uttar Pradesh since 1989 following emergence of divisive 'Mandal-Mandir' politics and rise of the BSP, which took away its crucial Dalit vote base.
