The Nagaland BJP unit today alleged that several pro-poor schemes launched by BJP government at the Centre was not reaching the grass root level people in the state.
"The BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched various pro-poor programmes but those benefits are not reaching the targeted people in Nagaland," said BJP Nagaland president Visasolie Lhoungu during launch of great membership drive of the Party in the state here.
"BJP is striving hard to come to power and given the opportunity after the 2018 elections, all the pro-poor programmes will reach the actual beneficiaries and we will carry forward equal development create equal opportunity throughout the state," he said.

The Vision and policy of Prime Minister Modi is to make the government dedicated to the poor, cause of youth, villagers and farmers and the weaker section of the society, he said.
He asserted that the BJP government will work with everyone under the banner of "Saab ka saath, saab ka vikas" as our government desires to create equal opportunity and equal development for all.
The Nagaland BJP president said that under the great membership drive, the BJP targets to enroll around 5 lakh people as BJP members before the upcoming state assembly election.
He said any individual can become a member of BJP by giving a missed call on the toll free number 1800-266-1001 without filling up any paper forms and also not paying any registration fee.
Lhougu informed that the membership drive will go on till June 25.
