Health officer Sohanlal Godara had allegedly received Rs 1.05 lakh for allotting kits to representatives of polio booths, IG Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau, Umesh Mishra, said.

The state government had allotted a budget of Rs 23 lakhs to set up pulse polio booths in 40 primary and 10 community health centres, he said.

Following complaints of embezzlement of funds and irregularities in allotting kits to representatives of polio booths, the ACB conducted a surprise check at the office of Sohanlal Godara on April 13 and seized Rs 1.05 lakh in cash, about which the officer could not give a satisfactory answer.
