A local court today directed the police to investigate into a complaint that accused TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao of making "objectionable" remarks against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his speech at 'Samara Deeksha' in January this year.
Based on a private complaint filed by one advocate Gollapudi Ramarao, the First Class Additional Munsif Court here directed the Khammam Two Town police to investigate the matter and file a status report before it.
A senior police officer said they were yet to receive the court orders and said they will proceed as per the law.

The petitioner said the TRS leader should not have used such comments against the PM and sought the court's direction to the police for registration of a case under relevant sections of IPC against Chandrasekhar Rao.
Meanwhile, a handful of pro-Telangana advocates raised slogans and argued with Ramarao in the court premises for filing the complaint against Chandrasekhar Rao.
