Inquiry against five ministers of the erstwhile Mayawati government, facing charges of corruption and possession of disproportionate assets, has been completed and charge sheets filed, a special director of the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment said.
Additional Director General of Police (Vigilance) Mahendra Modi, who was here to attend a private function, told reporters last evening that inquiry against the five ministers -- Chandradeo Ram Yadav, Ram Asrey, Ram Achal Rajbhar, Babu Singh Kushwaha and Rangnath Mishra -- has been completed and charge sheets filed.
He said inquiry against two other former ministers -- Naseemuddin Siddiqui and Rakeshdhar Tripathi -- was underway and would be completed soon after which a report would be submitted to the state government.
