District Education Officer M V Krishna Reddy ordered an enquiry today against a secondary grade teacher N Sreenu Babu working at the Zilla Parishad high school in Tallavalasa under Bheemili mandal, for allegedly beating an class eight girl student and trying to molest some school girls.
The step was taken after complaints from parents of the girl student and a few others.
The parents of the girl student, village sarpanch as well others narrated the matter to the head teacher of the school and they lodged a complaint against the teacher.
Deputy Education Officer Renuka will head the panel which will probe the misconduct of the teacher.
Reddy said that immediatate action would be taken against the teacher if the enquiry panel found fault with the teacher.
Allegedly, Sreenu Babu sexually harassed girl students and tried to molest them, sources said.
An year ago, the accused teacher roughed up by a local for alleged involved in such incidents at S Rayavaram mandal of the district, sources said.
